Lucknow. On the orders of the Supreme Court, the Uttar Pradesh government is running a campaign against loudspeakers across the state. In view of this, loudspeakers were brought down in all the cities of Uttar Pradesh and there were some loudspeakers which were left after reducing the sound according to the standard. But on Friday morning, the speaker of Noor Masjid was taken down by the police in the VVIP area of Lucknow’s Gautampalli due to the problem of the sound of azaan. At the same time, at some distance the sound of the second big mosque was reduced. Both these mosques are in 500 meters in VVIP area. The Chief Minister’s residence is also located in this area. In view of this, the police is even more alert.
Talking to the media about this, Imam Mohammad Ajmal of Noor Masjid built in Gautampally, this VVIP area of Lucknow, said that for the last two-three days, sometimes three, sometimes four policemen were coming. He was asking to slow down the sound of the loudspeaker in the mosque every time. Imam told that first the voice was slowed down. After this the policemen reached again on Thursday.On this the Imam of Gautampalli Noor Masjid says that on Friday morning, the policemen themselves took off the loudspeakers. When asked the reason, the answer was received that the voice is reaching the residential area. In the morning it is causing problems for people. Also, the loudspeaker of the nearby Badi Masjid was reduced.
On the other hand, if sources are to be believed, the complaint was made directly to the Lucknow Police Commissioner about the problem of loudspeaker sound from this VVIP area of Gautampally. After this the officers were asked to trace the voice and check its voice. The matter, as it was directly related to the Commissioner’s Office. Therefore, all the police officers associated with the area started locating the sound. In this connection, the police team reached there from Gautampalli area on Friday morning after hearing the sound of loudspeaker from the mosque. After this the loudspeaker was removed and again asked to follow the rules.
Let us tell you that according to the order of the Supreme Court, the government is continuously campaigning against loudspeakers. This action has also been taken under the same campaign. Recently, the Yogi government of Uttar Pradesh had launched a campaign against all loudspeakers. In this, till April 28 in the year 2022, about 10 thousand 923 loudspeakers have been removed from religious places in UP. At the same time, the sound of about 35 thousand 221 loudspeakers was reduced according to the standard. At the same time, after the loudspeaker was lowered in this way, police have also been deployed in Gautampally area for fear of deteriorating the atmosphere.
