If a patient’s diabetes is uncontrolled or he has any other disease, then blood donation is not recommended. Diabetes patients should consult a doctor and get themselves examined before donating blood.

According to health experts, the sugar level of a diabetic patient should be normal at the time of blood donation. Diabetic patients are not considered suitable for blood donation if they have high or low blood sugar. The blood donor should be in good health and should not have any complications.
