In connection with this study, 15,500 children and adolescents were interviewed. The people involved in this survey were in the age group of 7 to 17 years. Among them, 1.9% of boys and 1.7% of girls were reported to have symptoms of cardiovascular disease. Experts say that the health of these children was not found to be good on all the seven criteria set by the American Health Association for cardiovascular health. These parameters are tobacco use, poor diet, lack of physical activity, high blood pressure, and high levels of cholesterol in the blood.
The study was carried out by experts from Beijing-based Peking University and Guangzhou-based Sun Yat-sen University. The researchers concluded that there are very few children and adolescents in China who have ideal cardiovascular health. The researchers said that the worrying aspect that has come to light is due to lack of physical activity and poor eating habits.

The latest study has also revealed that children in China are now becoming more victims of secondary smoking. Secondary smoking is the inhalation of smoke into the surrounding people due to the smoking of others. By the way, the survey definitely came out that compared to western countries, very few children in China smoke themselves.
