new Delhi . The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Friday said that it has registered two cases of bribery against three officials of Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) and arrested them. A senior CBI official said that the first case has been registered against the General Manager (Retail Sales) of IOCL. He is accused of demanding a bribe of Rs 1 lakh for granting permission to shift a retail center from one owner to another.
It was further alleged that Rouge directed the complainant to pay the bribe amount to Nandle.
The CBI laid a trap and Nandle was caught while demanding and accepting a bribe of Rs 1 lakh from the complainant.
The second case was registered on a complaint against Sunil Golar, Sales Officer, IOCL, Gondia (Maharashtra) for allowing smooth functioning of the petrol pump of the complainant without any delay in making the stock available by IOCL and the previous information given to the complainant. Ehsan was also accused of demanding a bribe of Rs 1 lakh.
The CBI laid a trap and Golar was apprehended while demanding and accepting a bribe of Rs 1 lakh from the complainant.
“In both the cases, the offices and residential premises of the accused are being searched,” the CBI official said.
Further investigation is going on in the matter.
