New Delhi . The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has raided a total of 10 places including Delhi, Hisar, Lucknow, Mumbai, Pune and Nashik under the Operation ‘Chakra-V’ being conducted against cyber-based financial crimes across the country. This action was taken in the case of an organized cyber investment fraud.
Meanwhile, the CBI has arrested an accused resident of Kalyan in Mumbai, who was actively involved in fraud. He used to supply already active SIM cards and ‘mule’ bank accounts to cyber criminals, which made it possible to carry out these illegal activities. During the search, large quantities of objectionable digital and documentary evidence have been recovered from the accused.
The case is related to a well -planned fraud, in which people were cheated through fake mobile apps and WhatsApp groups. Criminals charged money from innocent investors by pretending to get shares of well-known companies at cheap prices and later embezzled money. This caused heavy financial loss to the people.
The CBI said that the evidence found during the raid makes it clear how innocent investors were made victims in complex ways.
It is clear from CBI’s Operation Chakra-V that the agency is fully committed to ending cyber crime syndicate and their associate structure. In addition, the investigation is still going on.
Please tell that hardly any city of the country is untouched by cyber crime. Educated people are also trapped in this trap and losing crores of rupees. Cyber criminals continue to adopt various tricks and cheat money.
Recently, a case of cyber fraud of seven crore rupees was reported in Haryana. In this case, a person was arrested by Haryana Police from Gopalganj in Bihar.
