Neeraj Chopra’s mother said in her statement to ANI after her son won the silver medal that we are all very happy, in which silver is no less than gold for us. He was injured but we are very happy with his performance. On the other hand, Neeraj Chopra’s father Satish Kumar said on his son winning the silver medal that everyone has some day, today was the day of the Pakistani athlete but we are happy to win the silver medal and this is a proud moment for all of us. He has won a silver medal for the country and this will also serve as an inspiration for the young generation.

Neeraj is the third athlete to win 2 Olympic medals in individual events

Neeraj Chopra has become the third athlete from India to win two medals in individual events at the Olympics. While Neeraj won gold in the Tokyo Olympics, this time he won a silver medal. Before him, wrestler Sushil Kumar won a bronze medal in the Beijing Olympics in 2008 and a silver medal in the London Olympics in 2012. Apart from this, PV Sindhu won silver in the Rio Olympics and bronze in Tokyo.
