New Delhi. TRS leader K. Terming the paddy procurement policy of the Center as “discriminatory”, Kavita on Sunday said that the policies of the central government are a threat to the national food security system. On April 11, ahead of the Telangana Rashtra Samithi protest against the Centre’s paddy procurement policy in the national capital, Kavita inspected the protest site on Ashoka Road in the morning.
Talking to media persons, he said that the schemes and policies of the central government are a threat to the national food security system. TRS party will fight for the interest of farmers.
Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao’s daughter Kavita said that no government has ever prospered on farmers in India. The farmers have warned the BJP government of the far-reaching consequences of neglect.
Appreciating Rao’s efforts and foresight, the former MP said that it was the steadfast will of the Hon’ble Chief Minister that ‘turned barren Telangana into a prosperous and productive land’ which is ready to serve the rest of the country.
He said that the TRS party under the leadership of KCR will stand and fight for the interest of every farmer.
All TRS MPs, MLAs and ministers will participate in the dharna.
The Telangana government has been demanding procurement of the entire paddy produced in the state, but the Center has said that it will procure only raw rice.
