New Delhi. Political activities have intensified before the assembly elections in Jharkhand. Amidst the possibilities of former Chief Minister Champai Soren joining BJP, reports of Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) flags disappearing in his native village are coming to the fore. Speculations about former Jharkhand Chief Minister Champai Soren joining the BJP are gaining momentum. Today, Jharkhand politics came to a boil when Champai Soren was seen leaving for Delhi from Kolkata. Now it is being speculated that Champai Soren may join the BJP today in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah.
Champai Soren’s political journey has been long and full of different responsibilities. He has been one of the senior leaders of Jharkhand Mukti Morcha and has witnessed many ups and downs of the party. When ED tightened its grip on Chief Minister Hemant Soren and a situation arose of him going to jail, Champai Soren’s name came up for the post of Chief Minister. After this, he did impressive work after taking over the post of Chief Minister. “Maiya Samman Yojana,” which is considered to be the master stroke of JMM, is the contribution of Champai Soren.
