Chandigarh Youth Congress protest against political handicap of ED

Chandigarh. The Chandigarh Youth Congress today staged a strong protest against the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) at the Center against the misuse of constitutional institutions and their political handling. Hundreds of Youth Congress workers participated in this public outrage rally held in Congress Bhavan, Sector 35 and raised their voice against the dictatorial attitude of the BJP government and the suppression of democratic institutions. Youth Congress President Mr. Deepak Lubana while attacking the BJP government said that the central government is misusing ED and other central agencies to target opposition parties. He said, “This government is afraid of criticism, and is openly disregarding constitutional dignities.”
Gurpreet Gabi, the leader involved in the protest, also attacked the BJP, saying, “The BJP is ending democratic values ​​and leading the country to unity. The Enforcement Directorate has now become the political branch of the BJP, not an independent investigative agency, which is aimed at intimidating opposition leaders and diverting attention from real issues.”
State in -charge Satyavan Gehlot, State Vice President Sachin Galiv, State General Secretary Kapil Chopra and other prominent leaders also attended the demonstration. Youth Congress workers raised sharp slogans like “Save Democracy – ED Raj Hatao”, “Dictatorship will not run”, and “Freedom of constitutional institutions back”.
The Youth Congress clarified that this struggle is not only of the Congress party, but it is for the protection of the Constitution, the restoration of the democratic system, and the protection of the fundamental rights of the citizens. This movement will be decisive against BJP’s autocratic rule and violation of democracy.
