Azad Samaj Party (KSP) MP Chandrashekhar Azad has given a statement regarding the Waqf (Amendment) Bill 2024. He said, “We should think whether the government is a well-wisher of Muslims? Have they made any law in the interest of Muslims? Has the government come up with any scheme in the interest of Muslims? You have abolished the Maulana Azad scholarship, you have abolished the aid given to madrasas. This government is not a well-wisher of Muslims at all. It should answer how it has bypassed the Constitution?”
Chandrashekhar Azad said- we will not sit silent
He said that if you violate the constitution, we will not remain silent at any cost. The government has the majority, it can get it passed. We cannot stop it. But if something goes wrong, we will raise our voice. This is not justice, this is oppression. When the JPC is formed, we will register our objection. You want to weaken the Muslims. We have suffered the pain of partition earlier too. I do not want politics on Hindu-Muslim, politics should be based on issues.

There are so many Shia-Sunni in the country. Why don’t they talk about those who vote for the Modi government or BJP. This bill has been brought only to benefit them.”
