Chardham Yatra: Security of devotees paramount, PWD secretary told- fences are being installed in dangerous places

Dehradun . Chardham Yatra, called the lifeline of Uttarakhand’s economy, is going to start from April 30. All their preparations are being completed at the government level regarding this. During the Chardham Yatra, there are many places in the mountainous areas where there is a possibility of accident. Now reform work has been started there by identifying these risky inaccessible places, so that any kind of accident can be prevented in future. Public Works Department (PWD) Secretary Pankaj Kumar Pandey said that the department has started the work of imposing protective fencing there by marking these dangerous places. The Transport Department has also shared information about some sensitive places, on which instructions have been issued to fencing. In addition, continuous work is being done on the suggestions of the Transport Department.
Pankaj Kumar Pandey said that the government’s goal is that all the devotees visiting Chardham Yatra should experience safe and easy travel so that they do not face any kind of trouble.
Let us know that the administration is alert about it, there is no inconvenience to the devotees in the Chardham Yatra. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami himself is regularly taking stock of preparations.
Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami had said on 12 April that all necessary steps are being taken to make Chardham Yatra smooth, safe and accessible for devotees. The preparations for the journey are almost complete. Constant efforts are being made to improve it further.
CM Dhami took stock of the preparations for the Chardham Yatra in a high -level meeting held in Dehradun. During this, he had said, “Our goal is that every devotee coming to Uttarakhand should be given to Chardham without any hassle. For this, continuous communication is being done with all the stakeholders associated with the journey.”
He had told that the safety of devotees is being given top priority during the yatra. Special attention is being paid to repairing travel routes, arrangements for health facilities, and traffic management.
