Chandigarh The Chandigarh Congress has expressed deep disappointment and grief over the formation of permanent committees of the Administrative Advisory Committee by the Chandigarh administration. The Congress has alleged that these committees have been formed in a partisan manner under pressure from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), which aims to benefit the BJP only. Chandigarh Congress chief spokesperson Rajiv Sharma accused the administration of ignoring the interests of the general public of Chandigarh and only the narrow interests of BJP leaders. He said that it seems that the administration and its officials have formed these permanent committees by sitting in the BJP office.
The Congress spokesperson alleged that the local president of the big party like Congress H.S. Lucky has not been nominated for the post of Chairman of any Standing Committee, while many small leaders of BJP and even their leaders outside Chandigarh have got a place in these committees.
He also said that local MP Manish Tiwari, who is tirelessly effort to reinstate the old pride of Chandigarh city “ruined” after 2014 by the BJP-led Municipal Corporation and the administration, has also been given the charge of a committee that has no direct impact on the standard of living and standard of living of people.
The Congress alleges that the administration is doing all these “anti -Chandigarh” work only under the pressure of the BJP so that the efforts of MP Manish Tiwari can be interrupted. The Congress has urged the administration and the BJP to accept that the people of Chandigarh have rejected the BJP in the 2024 parliamentary elections. Therefore, the Congress has demanded that the administration should stop following the “anti -people agenda” of the BJP in its decisions and the real representatives of the city should participate in the administration to fulfill the wishes and aspirations of the public.
