Dausa. The Sadar police station, while taking a major action late on Tuesday night, has busted the gang stealing chemical from tankers standing at the hotel dhabas on Jaipur-Agra National Highway (NH-21). Police arrested three accused red -handed from the spot and seized a pickup vehicle and tanker used in the theft.
Police reached information on information
Police officer Ravindra Singh said that the police team was during night patrolling, when it was reported from the informer that chemical was being stolen from a tanker in the parking of Hotel Devnarayan. Taking immediate action on the information, the police team reached the spot and caught three persons engaged in suspicious activities near the tanker.
A person was standing above the tanker, while two other persons were filling the chemical in plastic drums in a pickup car standing nearby. These people were opening the tanker lid and emptying the chemical in the pickup through the pipe.
Arrested accused and their identity
Police questioned the three accused, who were identified as follows: Anil Kumar, son Suresh Chandra Kannaujia, caste Dhobi, resident Manipur, Tehsil Karanja Kala, Thana Sarai Khaja, District Jaunpur (Uttar Pradesh)
Indrakesh, son Radheshyam Yadav, resident village Chariyahi, Tehsil Badlapur, Thana Maharajganj, District Jaunpur (Uttar Pradesh)
Jitendra Singh, son Rajendra Singh Rajput, resident Dhani Bhojpura, Thana Sadar, Dausa (Rajasthan)
When the documents of the chemical filled drums were sought from the pickup driver Jitendra Singh, he could not present any valid papers.
Chemical theft was being done in collusion
In the initial inquiry, pickup driver Jitendra revealed that chemical was stolen from the tanker with the connivance of tanker driver Anil Kumar and Khalasi Indrakesh. It was filled in chemical plastic drums and transported elsewhere through pickup.
Seizure and further action
Police seized 5 chemical -filled plastic drums, a pickup vehicle and the concerned tanker from the spot. The three accused were detained and produced in the court from where they were sent to judicial custody.
Significantly, the incidents of theft from tankers standing at night on the banks of the highway have come to the fore, but this is the first time that the police caught the entire gang red -handed on the spot. The police is now also trying to find out where the stolen chemical was sold and who are connected to this gang.
