Over one lakh prize money, 44 international rated players will be included
Dausa. With the aim of giving new height to the popularity of chess at the state level and giving a platform to local talents, Dausa District Chess Association and Karthikeya Chase Academy have become a center of eagerness and attraction between the players “Second Dausa Gold Cup Open Chess Tournament -2025”.
This prestigious tournament will be held on 28 and 29 June in the AC Hall of Jeevan Dhara Social Welfare Society.
Increasing participation from the state and across the country
Tournament Convenor and District Chess Association Secretary Krishnagopal Sharma informed that unprecedented enthusiasm is being seen among the players regarding the competition. So far, around 80 players have registered their entry and this number is continuously increasing.
Players from many districts of Rajasthan are participating in the competition including Jaipur, Udaipur, Sikar, Alwar, Bikaner, Ajmer, Bharatpur, Jodhpur, Barmer, Karauli and Beawar. Also, talented chess players from neighboring states like Delhi, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh have made their presence felt.
Over one lakh prize money, chance for every class
The prize money of more than one lakh rupees and attractive trophies is kept for the winners. In this tournament, in addition to the open category, cash prizes have also been prescribed for players especially for women class, senior citizens, and under-9 from under-9.
44 international rated players will be partners
Sharma said that so far 44 international rated players have confirmed their participation in the tournament. This tournament is open to every age and category players and the registration process is still going on.
New identity will be given to chess in Dausa
This mega event is being considered as a milestone that gives a new identity to chess in Dausa district. Organizers believe that this level competitions can be founded to bring local players to the national and international platform.
