Gorakhpur. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that according to the spirit of Ramraj, everyone should contribute for the protection and protection of every living being along with human welfare. We also get its inspiration from Ramayana. In the story of Ramayana, the Aranya Kand teaches about the protection of animals, obligations towards nature, behavior towards living beings. In a way, the entire Indian knowledge wealth is contained in the Aranya Kand. CM Yogi on Wednesday feeding two female leopard cubs (Bhavani and Chandi) in Shaheed Ashfaq Ulla Khan Zoological Park (Gorakhpur Zoo), naming them (Bhavani and Chandi), white tiger (white tigress Geeta) entering the enclosure from the crawl, in the zoo’s hall. After visiting the exhibition, he was addressing the program organized here.
Recalling the lines of Ramcharit Manas ‘Hit Anhit Pasu Pachhiu Jana, Manush Tanu Gun Gyan Nidhana’, the Chief Minister said that who is the beneficiary and who is the one who causes harm, its vibrations occur in animals. Clarifying this quote further, he said that Maryada Purushottam Lord Shri Ram had gone to the forest only with Mother Sita and his cousin Lakshmana, but during his exile, he was helped by forest dwellers, bears, monkeys, vultures, even trees, plants, and forests. Rivers did it. The Chief Minister said that man will also be protected only if he is aware of his responsibilities towards nature and towards the protection of animals. He appealed for the contribution of all people for the conservation of wildlife.
UP’s first night safari going to start in Lucknow
Referring to the efforts of the state government regarding wildlife conservation and eco-tourism, CM Yogi said that the process of starting the state’s first night safari in Lucknow is being expedited. This will promote eco-tourism, will inculcate a sense of respect for wildlife, along with entertainment, the knowledge of children will also increase. He said that a Tiger Reserve has also been announced at Ranipur in Chitrakoot. Lord Rama spent most of his time in exile in Chitrakoot. Proposals related to eco-tourism have also been approved in Bijnor and Ramnagar. The government is making rescue centers for wildlife at places like Maharajganj, Meerut, Chitrakoot, Pilibhit etc. A Vulture Conservation Center is being built in Sohgibarwa area of Maharajganj. The Chief Minister said that the government has kept the loss due to wildlife under the category of disaster.
Conservation of aquatic life being done by Namami Gange Project
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that the government is also sensitive about the conservation of aquatic life. He said that the Namami Gange project is helping a lot in this. The CM said that earlier 14 crore liters of sewer used to fall in the Ganga river in Sisamau of Kanpur every day, now not even a drop falls due to the works of Namami Gange project. Now the place where the sewer falls has become a selfie point. Similarly, due to the fall of leather industry waste in Jajmau, aquatic creatures were almost extinct. There now aquatic organisms have got a revival and a large number of aquatic creatures have started appearing in the river. Referring to the dolphins found in the Ganges river, the Chief Minister said that the government has chosen the area of Nishadraj, a dear friend of Lord Shri Ram, for dolphin conservation. Referring to his visit to Kashi last year, the Chief Minister said that now dolphins have started appearing in the Ganges river there too. He assured that the government would take all possible steps for the conservation of dolphins.
A separate cadre of doctors will be formed for the treatment of wildlife
During his address in the program, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath directed the forest department to set up a separate cadre of veterinary officers for the treatment and protection of wildlife. He said that now doctors are brought from the Animal Husbandry Department for the treatment of wildlife. But now a separate cadre of veterinary officers will have to be prepared for the rescue and treatment of wildlife.
Every tree should be protected
Appealing to plant more and more trees for environmental protection, CM Yogi said that understanding the value of every single tree, they should be protected. He said that 100 crore trees were planted in Uttar Pradesh in the last five years. It is the highest in the world. This time 350 million trees have been planted, it needs to be increased further, if the environment is friendly, then the problem of global warming will be avoided along with protecting health. Referring to the rains on Wednesday, the Chief Minister said that such rain occurs in Sawan. If it is raining like this in October, then we have to think about it. He said that if nature is tampered with, its ill-effects will come to the fore. During the program, CM Yogi released the poster related to Ganga Dolphin and also unveiled the special cover of the Postal Department on the aquatic fauna of the state. Also, Dr. H. Rajmohan, Director of the Zoo, Dr. Yogesh Singh, Veterinary Officer, Deputy Regional Forest Officer. Rohit Singh was honored with a citation. He also presented prizes to the winners of various competitions organized under Wildlife Week.
Jungle safari will start in Sohgibarwa: Forest Minister
In the program, Minister of State (Independent Charge) of Forest, Environment, Zoological Park and Climate Change Department, Dr. Arun Kumar Saxena said that the government would soon start the facility of jungle safari in Sogibarwa of Maharajganj. Jungle safari will increase eco-tourism, people will get employment. People from other states will also come to Uttar Pradesh for employment along with tourism. Referring to Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s love for the environment and love for wildlife, the Forest Minister said that the first thing that CM Yogi did when he woke up in the morning on his birthday was plantation. He appealed to the children present in the program to plant saplings on their birthday.
During the program, on Dolphin Day, National Mission for Clean Ganga, Dr. Sandeep Behera, Adviser of Biodiversity, while delivering the foundational lecture, appealed for everyone’s participation in dolphin conservation. Manoj Singh, Additional Chief Secretary, Forest and Environment Department, informed about the efforts being made by the State Government to promote eco-tourism along with the programs of Wildlife Week.
