New Delhi. The High Court has reprimanded the Chief Secretary of Delhi on the pitiful condition of animals in Delhi’s dairies. Delhi High Court said that your officers give reports without going to the ground and your officers do nothing. Delhi High Court told the Chief Secretary that you should go to the ground yourself and you will know what your officers are saying and what is the ground reality. How much difference is there in that, if you go on the ground then the message will be sent to your officers also and they will also visit regularly.
Chief Secretary of Delhi told in the High Court that Bhalaswa Dairy is 65 acres area and Ghazipur Dairy is 205 acres area. We spoke to the authority and they said that it is very difficult to shift it. Chief Secretary of Delhi said in the High Court, our suggestion is that emphasis should be laid on complete demolition of Bhalswa and Ghazipur land fill sites. We hope that we will completely destroy Bhalswa and Ghazipur land fill sites in one and a half years. 50 lakh tonnes of garbage has been removed from there in the last one year and 90 tonnes of garbage in the last 5 years.
Delhi High Court said that Goga Dairy has land but there is continuous encroachment there. There people are building permanent houses on the dairy land. He has to be stopped. The Chief Secretary said that there are a total of 50 thousand animals in the dairies of Delhi and 321 illegal dairies were sealed last year. Delhi High Court said that it will pass a detailed order regarding Madanpur Khadar Dairy. Delhi High Court has directed FSSAI to increase testing in Delhi. The High Court asked FSSAI to emphasize on increasing testing in Bhalsawa and Ghazipur areas and also asked it to file a report in the court on the matter.
