The Australia Strategic Policy Institute, in its latest report, on the basis of research paper, revealed on Tuesday that China is leading in 19 out of 23 areas. Out of this, there are many areas which can play an important role in establishing China’s military dominance in the Indian Pacific and other regions. China has now gone a long way in hypersonic missiles, electronic warfare and underwater attack capability. The report also warns that China’s rise is very effective in these areas.
China left everyone behind in hypersonic technology
According to the report, this has created a danger that China will dominate the whole world in terms of technological breakthroughs in these areas. The analysis also states that 9 out of 10 research institutes for hypersonic technology are located in China. At the same time, China is the center of all 10 top research institutes in the matter of making underwater drones. Unlike ballistic missiles, hypersonic missiles are adept at acrobatics even after 5 times the speed of sound.
In the case of hypersonic missiles, the gap between China and other countries is huge. In the field of this technology, China has done 73 percent excellent research, which is more than America and 8 other countries combined. This analysis has also revealed that China is using western research institutes to gain its advantage. 14% of Chinese researchers who write such research have received their post graduate training in the US, Australia or the UK. On the other hand, in the case of electronic warfare, 18 percent scientists have taken training in western countries.
America still has an edge in these matters
It has been said in this report that it is not that China has gone far ahead in every field. The think tank said that America and its allies still have some areas where they keep their sovereignty. This includes autonomous systems, quantum computing and quantum sensors. Apart from this, America is still ahead in terms of AI and cyber security. Now America, along with Britain and Australia, is trying to bridge the gap of technological success coming against China.
