Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi is likely to visit India later this month. According to the report, Wang Yi can go on a tour of Nepal and Sri Lanka along with India at the end of March. He may also put pressure on Nepal to pursue projects under China’s Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) in Kathmandu.
‘India and China should be partners, not rivals’
Regarding relations with India, Wang Yi recently said that India and China should be partners rather than rivals. He had said that China, India should become partners for mutual success, not opposed to mutual conflict.
