Churu Training of Community Health Officers was organized in the Zilla Parishad Auditorium on Friday to strengthen tobacco liberation treatment and consultation services in the district.

CMHO Dr. Manoj Sharma said that the participants of the district participated in the training of community health officers under the joint aegis of WHO. The main objective of this training is to identify tobacco consumers at the community health officials level for strengthening tobacco liberation treatment and consultation services as per the guidelines set by the Government of India and to provide them technical assistance and counseling to quit tobacco consumption.

ACMHO Dr. Ahsan Gauri said that for the expansion of tobacco liberation counseling and treatment services in the district, it is necessary to motivate tobacco consumers at all Ayushman Arogya temple level.

During this period, tobacco liberation counseling and treatment services being provided at the District Hospital, Churu were also reviewed and directing for necessary improvement in services, with the coordinated efforts of all the participants, more and more tobacco patients at the Tobacco Liberation Treatment Consultation Center Directed to refer. Instructions were given to the tobacco liberation treatment center to counseling maximum tobacco consumption patients in the hospital OPD time so that consuming patients can be given effective medical treatment through nicotine replacement therapy. Participants were instructed to motivate tobacco, mental diseases of tobacco, mental diseases, counseling by scientific and medical methods and motivate them to leave tobacco products.
