New Delhi. Debates between the lawyers of the government and the police administration are often seen in the Supreme Court. You must have seen big film stars standing in front of the court with their petitions, but today Bollywood actor Aamir Khan will be welcomed in the country’s biggest court. A film is going to be screened in the court premises. This screening will be held in the Supreme Court in the presence of Bollywood actor Aamir Khan himself and his ex-wife Kiran Rao. All the judges and court staff will watch the film together. This question must be arising in the mind that which film is CJI DY Chandrachud going to get screened in the Supreme Court family. Actually, the recently released film Missing Ladies will be screened today.
The film Missing Ladies is directed by Kiran Rao and produced by Aamir Khan. The film will be screened in the auditorium of the Supreme Court’s administrative building complex. This initiative is a part of the CJI’s year-long gender sensitization program in the Supreme Court. According to a report in Bar and Bench, the idea of watching this film came to his wife Kalpana Das when she and her staff watched the film.

CJI told the reason for film screening…
Talking to the website, the CJI said, “This is my initiative to sensitize the employees of the Supreme Court and that is why this screening is being done. There are many things happening in the Supreme Court which are not often publicized. Like now we also have a 24-hour Ayurvedic clinic for the treatment and rest of the Supreme Court employees. So this screening is also to increase mutual understanding among the members.”
