London: An event was organized in the British capital London against the death of Iranian President Ibrahim Raisi in a helicopter crash. A clash broke out between supporters of the Iranian government and anti-government protesters during the event. Four people were injured in this clash while one person has been arrested. Information about the clash has been given by the British police.

The Metropolitan Police said officers were called to “reports of disorder” at a venue in the Wembley area of west London on Friday evening. An event was being held to mark Raisi’s death in a helicopter crash. Police said protesters had gathered outside the venue and clashes broke out. The police force said one man was arrested on suspicion of violent disorder.
Raisi died in a helicopter accident
Police said four people were treated by paramedics, and their injuries were not considered life-changing. Police ordered the gathered people to disperse and said on Saturday that experts would examine social media footage and other evidence. Iran’s President Raisi died on Sunday in an accident in the country’s mountainous northwestern region. Iran’s foreign minister and six other people were also on board the helicopter with Raisi.

Iran’s late President Ibrahim Raisi was buried on Thursday (March 23, 2024) at the country’s holiest Shia shrine. Raisi is buried in a grave inside the Imam Reza shrine in Mashhad. The eighth Imam of the Shia community is buried in this shrine. Raisi is the first top government official to be buried in this shrine since the Islamic Revolution of 1979. (AP)
