Covishield Vaccine AstraZeneca has recalled all doses of the Covid-19 vaccine from across the world after cases of blood clotting were reported in some people. However, the vaccine manufacturing company has given some other reason for this. AstraZeneca said it had ‘a surplus of updated vaccines available’ on the market since the pandemic hit, Reuters reported. This has led to initiatives across the world to withdraw their COVID-19 vaccines.
Let us tell you that just last week, during a hearing in the London court, Covishield had admitted that this vaccine is causing blood clotting in some people. Due to blood clotting, people are at risk of heart attack, brain stroke, paralysis etc. After this admission, controversy has erupted all over the world including India regarding Covishield vaccine. Meanwhile, AstraZeneca has recalled all the doses of its Covid vaccine available in the market.
Know from Covishield why clots occur
The UK’s famous pharmaceutical company AstraZeneca has admitted for the first time in a UK court that its Covid-19 vaccine can cause side effects like TTS in people. The company has acknowledged that its COVID-19 vaccine has the potential to cause a rare side effect called thrombosis with thrombocytopenia syndrome (TTS). Let us tell you that due to thrombocytopenia syndrome, blood clots can form in the body which later causes incidents like stroke or cardiac arrest. (Reuters)
