After a big victory in Punjab, the Aam Aadmi Party is now looking towards Telangana. AAP leaders have also indicated that the party’s new political target will be the South Indian state. The special thing is that with this move of AAP, the hopes of the third front of the Chief Minister of the state K Chandrashekhar Rao can be dashed. It is being said that KCR of Telangana Rashtra Samithi is trying to form a non-Congress third front against the Bharatiya Janata Party.
According to media reports, AAP leaders in Telangana are focusing on strengthening the party and increasing the cadre. In a conversation with The News Minute, senior AAP leader Burra Ramu Gaur has also ruled out the possibility of an alliance between AAP and CM KCR. He called it speculation and said, “Our leadership has neither shown interest nor has given appointment to any TRS leader on any front.”
It is reported that a meeting between KCR and AAP’s national convener and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal was scheduled in the first week of March. Earlier, KCR has met Tamil Nadu, West Bengal, Jharkhand and Maharashtra and the Nationalist Congress Party chief. However, according to TNM, party sources have denied the postponement of the meeting between Kejriwal and KCR. He said that no such meeting was scheduled on that day and their leader had a health checkup on that day.
You are targeting TRS
There have already been indications from AAP’s national leadership that the party’s eyes are now on Telangana. Also, she will take on the ruling TRS. During a recent press briefing, AAP’s South India in-charge and Delhi MLA Somnath Bharti had called KCR a ‘messiah of corruption’. He had alleged that KCR himself was also involved in corruption.
you have high hopes
AAP claims that many retired IAS and IPS are ready to join the party in the coming days after Kejriwal’s visit to Telangana. AAP says that apart from fighting corruption, the party will also work to improve education, health and infrastructure.
