New Delhi. Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal got a big relief from the Special Court on Thursday in the money laundering case related to the alleged liquor scam in Delhi. The Special Judge of Rouse Avenue Court has granted bail to CM Kejriwal in the Rs 100 crore liquor scam case. Earlier on Wednesday, Special Judge Nyay Bindu had asked ED what is the need to extend the judicial custody of Arvind Kejriwal. On this, the investigating agency told the court that it has got a trace of Rs 45 crore out of Rs 100 crore. CM Arvind Kejriwal’s petition was also heard on Thursday and the court granted relief to the Chief Minister of Delhi. Now the question arises that what will be the next step of ED in this case? Will ED challenge the bail decision of the Special Court in the Delhi High Court?
If sources are to be believed, after CM Arvind Kejriwal got bail from Rouse Avenue Court, ED can now take a big step. ED will challenge Arvind Kejriwal’s bail order in Delhi High Court. The central investigation agency can approach Delhi High Court on Friday. Let us tell you that ED had requested the court to give it 48 hours time. The court rejected the agency’s request and granted bail to Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal. The detailed order of the court in this regard will be uploaded on the website on Friday, June 21.

ED may demand an early hearing
It is being told that ED can challenge the decision of the Special Court in Delhi High Court on 21st June. Along with challenging the decision of the lower court, the investigating agency will also appeal for an early hearing on the case. Let us tell you that Arvind Kejriwal’s bail bond will be filled in front of the duty judge on Friday itself. After that the order of the lower court will go to Tihar Jail and only then the release of Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal will be ensured.
Serious allegations against CM Kejriwal
Serious allegations were made against Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, making him an accused in the alleged liquor scam case. He was arrested by the ED on 21 March 2024 after a long interrogation. During the court hearing, the ED had even described Arvind Kejriwal as the kingpin of the alleged liquor scam. Let us tell you that Sanjay Singh had already got bail from the Supreme Court in this case and now Kejriwal has also been granted bail. However, former Delhi Deputy CM and senior Aam Aadmi Party leader Manish Sisodia is still in jail in this case.
