New Delhi. The problems of the Chief Minister of the national capital Delhi, Arvind Kejriwal, are increasing instead of decreasing. CM Kejriwal was granted bail by the trial court on 20 June 2024. This decision of the lower court was challenged in the Delhi High Court. The High Court stayed the decision of the trial court. In this way, the way for CM Arvind Kejriwal to come out of jail was closed. Recently, CM Kejriwal, who was surrounded by allegations in the alleged liquor scam case of Delhi, was arrested by the CBI. On Wednesday (26 June 2024), the special judge sent Arvind Kejriwal to CBI custody. An interesting incident happened during the hearing in the court. The special judge caught a lie of the CBI.
Actually, CBI had sought 5-day remand of Arvind Kejriwal from the court so that he could be questioned in the liquor scam case. Also, CM Kejriwal could be grilled on the basis of evidence. However, the court has sent Kejriwal on CBI remand for 3 days. Meanwhile, Arvind Kejriwal said that he and former Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia and other Aam Aadmi Party leaders are innocent in this case. Arvind Kejriwal also rejected the CBI’s claim that he (Kejriwal) put the entire responsibility of implementing the excise policy (now repealed) on Manish Sisodia. CM Arvind Kejriwal told the court that he was never questioned about Manish Sisodia. Kejriwal accused the CBI of defaming him.

Those 3 things of CM Kejriwal
CM Arvind Kejriwal said three things in the court during the hearing. He told the court that he had told the CBI that the new liquor policy (now repealed) was prepared on three grounds. First, increasing revenue, second, reducing the long queues to buy liquor and third, equal distribution. CM Kejriwal further told that he also refuted the allegations of CBI in which it was said that the idea of bringing a private party under this policy was his.
The judge caught the lie
CBI had filed an application in the trial court to take Arvind Kejriwal on remand. Special Judge Amitabh Rawat’s court heard the matter. The judge also caught CBI’s lie in the court. The judge found substance in CM Kejriwal’s oral argument about Manish Sisodia. The special judge said, ‘I have read your (CM Arvind Kejriwal) statement. You have not said the thing about Manish Sisodia that CBI is claiming.’ Let us tell you that Rouse Avenue Court had granted bail to CM Arvind Kejriwal on June 20. After this, the central investigation agency had challenged the decision of the trial court in Delhi High Court. The High Court stayed the order of the lower court. In this way, Arvind Kejriwal could not come out of jail.
