He gave this gift to MSME entrepreneurs in a program organized on the eve of Vishwakarma Jayanti. With this, Uttar Pradesh has become the first state in the country, which has given loans to entrepreneurs on such a large scale at one go, which is a record in itself. In the program, CM Yogi said that the aim of the double engine government is that the state The youth, women, businessmen and entrepreneurs became self-reliant.
On Saturday, CM Yogi took part in the tool kit distribution program and loan distribution program to MSME entrepreneurs organized at Lok Bhavan under the ‘Vishwakarma Shram Samman’ scheme. During this, he said that the new Uttar Pradesh of the new India is being effectively implemented on the ground as per the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. CM Yogi said that in 2018, our government had started One District One Product Scheme for the traditional enterprises of Uttar Pradesh, which was an innovative initiative of UP. Its objective was not only to provide a platform to the talent of the state but also to establish Uttar Pradesh as an excellent destination for investment, in which the scheme was successful.
CM Yogi said that Prime Minister Modi has considered the One District One Product Scheme of Uttar Pradesh as the foundation stone of Local for Global and Self-reliant India scheme. Today, within no time, the One District One Product Scheme of UP has become the scheme of the entire country. He said that no big enterprise or industry can be successful unless it has a good cluster of MSMEs. Uttar Pradesh is fortunate from this point of view because more than 96 lakh MSME units are running here. CM Yogi said that MSME has given a new identity to Uttar Pradesh. This scheme has played a big role in employment generation and increasing exports in UP.
CM Yogi said that despite the Covid pandemic, the credit and debit ratio of Uttar Pradesh increased by 10 to 11 percent to 55-56 percent in the last 5 to 6 years. We will increase it to 60 to 62 percent. We have to work further with this goal. For this, employment fairs will have to be organized on a large scale, training will have to be done and people will have to be connected with digital payments. He said that the double engine government will extend full cooperation in furthering the skills of the handicraftsmen blessed by Lord Vishwakarma.
*Government has distributed loans worth Rs 66 thousand crores*
It is noteworthy that the Yogi government of the state is continuously trying to make the youth, women, businessmen and small entrepreneurs of the state self-reliant. In this direction, in the last six years, loans worth Rs 16 thousand crore have been distributed to 1.90 lakh handicraftsmen, artisans and small entrepreneurs. With today’s loan disbursement of Rs 50,000 crore, this figure becomes Rs 66 thousand crore.
In the program, CM Yogi symbolically gave tool kits to some beneficiaries of Vishwakarma Shram Samman Yojana and ODOP Scheme. Also distributed loans to MSME entrepreneurs.
