New Delhi. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that there is no dearth of funds for development works in Uttar Pradesh. Every section of the society should get the benefits of the process of development without any discrimination, it is the responsibility of the people’s representatives and administration. There is also a need that citizens should be aware of their responsibility and become aware and participate in taking forward the development programmes. CM Yogi was addressing the function organized here on Wednesday after inaugurating the 3.50 km long bypass built at a cost of Rs 20.27 crore and the office building of Nagar Panchayat Kasba Sangrampur alias Unwal at a cost of Rs 2.12 crore. He said that the Government of Double Engine is working towards bringing change in the life of every citizen through development works. Lack of funds will not come in the way of development. Giving best wishes to the gathering on Diwali, the Chief Minister said that in 2017, when Nagar Panchayats were being formed, one of the biggest Gram Panchayats of the district, Sangrampur Unwal, was constituted as the first Nagar Panchayat of the state at that time. . 2.12 crore for own building of this Nagar Panchayat and Rs 12.85 crore for other development works were also approved. In this Nagar Panchayat, 4168 houses have been sanctioned for the poor under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, out of which 2692 houses have been completed. Here 329 people have got the facility of PM Svanidhi Yojana while 750 people have got the benefit of individual toilet scheme under Swachh Bharat Mission. In addition, seven community and one pink toilets have been constructed. In this Nagar Panchayat, 338 characters are getting old age pension and 152 destitute women are getting the benefit of pension. Along with giving the status of Nagar Panchayat to Unwal, a bypass was also built at a cost of more than Rs 20 crore to facilitate the movement of people.
Sanitation is related to the identity of the area with health
Urging the people to pay special attention to cleanliness, the Chief Minister said that cleanliness is related to health as well as identity of the area. If the village, town remains dirty, then the perception of the people will not be right, whereas people will appreciate if the cleanliness is seen. He said that on Gandhi Jayanti on October 2, 2014, Prime Minister Narendra Modi started the Swachh Bharat Mission and provided toilet facilities from door to door. Cleanliness programs started on a large scale. Swachh Bharat Mission is scaling new heights of success. The Chief Minister said that dirt would give an opportunity to diseases to flourish. When the filth is eliminated, the disease will automatically end. Due to the special attention given to cleanliness, the figures of deaths due to encephalitis are at the end. The Chief Minister said that before Diwali, work should be done to make every locality, ward and city clean with public participation.
Prepare a model of urban waste management
CM Yogi said that urban waste management still remains a challenge. For this, Nagar Panchayats can make the best model at low cost. Work has to be done to organize the urban waste from now on, otherwise the garbage heaps will become the cause of diseases. He said that by making an action plan for cleanliness and waste management, town Sangrampur could become number one in the city panchayats. It is currently ranked third. He appealed to the people not to use banned plastic. This work will be like a favor to the society.
Every loss caused by floods and heavy rains will be compensated
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that the damage caused by floods and excessive rains will be compensated. Relief material has been provided to every victim. The government has full condolences on the loss of life and compensation will be provided to the affected family soon. Apart from this, assessment is also being done for compensation of crops and other damages.
Because of Yogi, there is a feeling of pride in telling Gorakhpuria: Ravikishan
