New Delhi. After the development of aspirational districts, the Yogi government is going to develop aspirational development blocks. The government has selected the development blocks for this. The government will provide holistic development of these blocks. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath gave instructions to the officers in this regard in a high-level meeting on Wednesday. Chief Minister Yogi said that on the lines of aspirational districts, special efforts are being made for their socio-economic improvement by selecting the most backward 100 aspirational development blocks. Efforts should be made for holistic development of these aspirational development blocks on various parameters of health and nutrition, education, agriculture and water resources, financial inclusion, skill development and infrastructure. In the development indicator, far-reaching results like BC Sakhi, Gram Sachivalaya, Amrit Sarovar should also be included. The Chief Minister directed that block wise updated information on selected indicators should be collected by the end of the current month, taking March 2022 as the baseline. After this, updated progress details should be fed by the respective districts by the 15th of every month. This should also be confirmed by the concerned departments.
The Chief Minister directed the officers that the cooperation of the students of IIT Kanpur and IIM Lucknow should be taken for continuous monitoring of the aspirational development blocks and for accurate assessment of the actual situation. Students of technical and technical universities/institutions of the state government should also be linked to this. The CM said that the Block Development Officer (BDO) posted in aspirational development blocks should not be given additional charge of any other block elsewhere. Relatively young, energetic and visionary officers should be deployed in these areas. He directed the concerned SDM to nominate the nodal officer of this development block and said that this nodal officer would be responsible for the development works in the development block, correctness and genuineness of the data being provided.
The Chief Minister expressed satisfaction with the development works being done in 08 aspirational districts of the state and said that all the standards of development in 08 aspirational districts (Balrampur, Siddharthnagar, Sonbhadra, Chandauli, Fatehpur, Chitrakoot, Bahraich and Shravasti) identified by NITI Aayog. But commendable work is being done. According to the Continuous Real Time Monitoring Dashboard (Champion of Change) released by NITI Aayog, these districts have secured a good position in the ranking. In our latest list of Best Trying Districts out of total 112 aspirational districts in the country, 05 districts figure in top 10. Balrampur ranks first. He directed the officers to make a continuous assessment of the updated status regarding the development standards set for the aspirational districts. Ensure that the data is accurate, error free and reflects the correct position. Assistance of independent agency/institutions to verify the data may also be considered.
