Gorakhpur. Gorakshpeethadhishwar and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that our Sanatan culture does not allow migration from the problems of society, nation and religion. We have to consider the problem of society, nation and religion as our own problem. We have to keep ourselves ready to face every challenge because those who run away from problems, those who turn their backs on them lose public confidence. Present and future generations never forgive those who migrate. CM Yogi was paying homage on the death anniversary of Mahant Avedyanath on Wednesday (Ashwin Krishna Chaturthi), the last day of the weekly tribute ceremony organized to commemorate the 53rd death anniversary of Yugpurush Brahmalin Mahant Digvijaynath Ji Maharaj and the 8th death anniversary of Rashtrasant Brahmalin Mahant Avadyanath Ji Maharaj. Expressing his sentiments at the tribute ceremony, the Chief Minister said that the revered Acharyadvayas of Gorakshapeeth, Brahmalin Mahant Digvijaynath and Brahmalin Mahant Avedyanath set the ideal of not running away from the problems of religion, society and the nation. The result of the accomplishment of his values, strength and spiritual practice can be seen today through various options in Gorakhpur. He did not limit Gorakshpeeth only to the place of worship and spiritual practice, but by connecting it with various dimensions of education, health and service, he paved the way for public welfare.
CM Yogi said that the tradition of Gorakshpeeth is an important link of Sanatan Dharma. How the ashram system should be operated, what should be our responsibility towards society, country and religion, this bench has guided it. In an era when people in abundance run after materiality, this Peeth is carrying forward the ideals established by Brahmalin Mahant Digvijaynath and Brahmalin Mahant Avadyanath in an ephemeral manner by joining programs according to country and society. He said that when the country was subjugated, then this religious bench joins the campaign to awaken education with limited resources. Revered saints led the freedom movement, they became partners and in this direction, the Gorakshapeeth also played an important role. How could the Gorakshapeeth keep itself apart when religion was also facing the brunt of subjugation? CM Yogi said that whether it is the freedom movement or the matter of giving impetus to the campaign of nation building after getting independence, Gorakshapeeth made continuous efforts under the leadership of Mahant Digvijaynath and Mahant Avadyanath.
