official Coal production of the company Coal India increased by 10 percent to 77.36 crore tonnes in the financial year 2023-24. However, this is 64 lakh tonnes less than the production target of 78 crore tonnes. In the information given to the stock market, Coal India said that the production in the last financial year 2022-23 was 70.32 crore tonnes. Production in March 2024 stood at 88.6 million tonnes, which is 6.1 percent more than 83.5 million tonnes in the same month last year. Coal supply increased by 8.5 percent to 753.5 million tonnes in the financial year ending March 31 this year, from 694.7 million tonnes in 2022-23. The supply in March 2024 stood at 68.8 million tonnes, which is 7.2 percent more than the supply of 64.2 million tonnes in the same month last year.

Coal India Shares closed with gains on Monday. It closed at Rs 442 on the Bombay Stock Exchange with a gain of 1.90 per cent or Rs 8.25. The 52 week high of Coal India share is Rs 487.75. Whereas, 52 week low is Rs 211.30. The market cap of the company closed at Rs 2,72,392.59 crore on BSE on Monday.
