New Delhi: Delhi Police recovered the body of a 42-year-old man on Saturday. It is believed that he was the father of two children, who were found dead at their home in Pandav Nagar area. Officials said his mother was lying unconscious. According to the police, the person missing since Friday was found dead near Anand Vihar railway track on Saturday evening.
The officer said, on Saturday around 2 pm, a call was received at Pandav Nagar police station about a missing person, whose name was Shyam ji (42), a resident of Shashi Garden area, whose house was locked since Friday.

After this information, a police team reached the spot and found the house locked from outside. After opening the door, it was found that two minor children (reportedly a 15-year-old boy and a 9-year-old girl) were lying dead in a room and their mother was unconscious. Later he was taken to the hospital.
Police suspect that a man named Shyam ji might have murdered his children and then committed suicide by going in front of a train. Delhi Police is investigating the case on this theory.
Case FIR number 215 under section 302/307 IPC has been registered in Pandav Nagar police station and investigation was started. According to Delhi Police, after this it came to light that on April 19, GRP had found a dead body, which was identified as that of Shyamji by Shyamji’s brothers. Police said that further investigation is going on in this matter. As far as injuries are concerned, they will be known from the post mortem to be conducted tomorrow.
