New Delhi: Congress leader Supriya Shrinet’s derogatory comment against film actress and BJP Lok Sabha candidate from Mandi Kangana Ranaut has proved costly. First Congress dropped his name from its list of candidates. Now Delhi LG Vinay Kumar Saxena has ordered the Police Commissioner for a thorough investigation. The Election Commission has also issued a show cause notice against him in this matter and sought his reply.
Delhi Lieutenant Governor Vinay Kumar Saxena has directed Delhi Police Commissioner Sandeep Arora to thoroughly investigate the derogatory post made by Congress leader Supriya Shrinet on social media platforms against Bollywood actress and BJP leader Kangana Ranaut.
‘They are troubling me a lot…’ What did Arvind Kejriwal’s wife Sunita say after coming out of the court room?
It is known that Bansuri Swaraj, daughter of former External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj and BJP’s candidate from New Delhi parliamentary seat, had written a letter to the Lieutenant Governor demanding registration of FIR. At the same time, the Lieutenant Governor has sent Swaraj’s complaint to the Police Commissioner and directed to investigate it scientifically and if necessary, take legal action as per law.
At the same time, the Lieutenant Governor has also directed to find out the truth behind the entire episode and the truth behind the claims made by Shrinet denying his involvement in this matter.
The Lieutenant Governor has also asked the Police Commissioner to investigate who made the derogatory post and also to investigate the mobile phone/device that was used to make the said post.
