According to a complaint lodged in 2016 by the family of a 17-year-old girl, the accused had told the girl that he was in love with her. It is alleged in the complaint that the accused (23) stared at the girl, made lewd gestures and threatened the girl’s mother.
Based on the complaint, Wadala TT police registered a case against the accused under the Protection of Children from Sexual Harassment Act (POCSO). However, the court acquitted the youth of all charges due to lack of sufficient evidence.
