Along with this, the work of gauge conversion has also started. 700 meter gauge conversion work will be done from railway station to Rameshwar culvert. For this Bhusaval Mandal has almost completed the base work. The direction of the track over the drain near Rameshwar Pulia has also changed. A new culvert will also be built near the years old Rameshwar culvert. Along with the widening of the track, concrete boxes will also be installed around Rameshwar Pulia Under Pass. Due to which its width will increase.
For gauge conversion, Railways had decided to convert Khandwa-Mhow meter gauge into broad gauge. Train service on this route was stopped four years ago in January 2017. During this, the railways completed the work of Mathila-Selda rail line via Nimarkhedi expeditiously. After this, the railway is now getting the work of Mhow-Khandwa line done under gauge conversion. The track is to be laid for 700 meters from Platform No. 5 to Rameshwar Pulia.
Work intensified from Rameshwar area
About six kilometers of gauge conversion work is to be done from Ahmedpur Khaigaon to Rameshwar Pulia. The base has been prepared for six kilometers. Only the work from Lalchowki Gate to Rameshwar Pulia is going on. This too will be completed in one to two months. After that other works will get momentum.
Encroachment of Champa Nagar can become a challenge
Railway has come to know about encroachment in some areas near Rameshwar Pulia. After this, now the railway employees are preparing to investigate it. The work from Ahmedpur Khaigaon to Rameshwar Pulia will come under Ratlam Division. In such a situation, this action has to be done under Ratlam Mandal. Recently, during the inspection of the Khandwa station of DRM, he has also been informed about this. He has also given instructions to the officials on this.

After the removal of the old line, some other material including rail paths, indicators, sleepers are scattered. RPF is also monitoring it, but the possibility of its theft remains. Regarding which the RPF has also informed the Railways that it should be removed as soon as possible.
power line will be laid after base
Tender for laying power line from platform number five of railway station to Rameshwar Pulia has been done. For this, the officials have also done the survey twice. Recently, the officials of Bhusaval Divisional Electric Department along with the concerned contractor inspected the entire track. After this, old electric poles and water pipes are being removed around the track.
