Talking to news agency on Saturday, Syed Afshan Chishti, the national co -in -charge of BJP’s Sufi Samvad Abhiyan, made serious allegations against the Congress party. He said that the Muslim community is only a vote bank for the Congress party. Regarding the absence of Congress MP Rahul Gandhi during the voting on the Waqf Amendment Bill in the Lok Sabha, he said that the Congress remembers Muslims only when it needs Muslim votes, but when the time comes to work on important issues, the leaders of the Congress party disappear.
“We remember Muslims at the time of voting”
Afshan Chishti said that we have been saying for years that the Congress party considers the Muslim community as only vote bank. They remember the Muslim community when they need votes. But when an important bill is being passed, the leaders of the Congress party disappear. He also questioned the insensitive and serious attitude of Congress leaders.
“Rahul and Priyanka are sometimes active or sometimes passive”
Chishti said that Congress leaders, especially Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi, are sometimes active and sometimes inactive. These people are sometimes active and when they do not feel like they do not see their work. Describing Rahul Gandhi as a part time leader, Rahul Gandhi should have expressed his views on important bills in Parliament, but he did not do so. He believed that Rahul Gandhi should have expressed his opinion on the issue of Muslim community, but he kept quiet.
“Muslim community has no real value”
He said that the Muslim community has no real importance for the Congress party, they are just vote banks. Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi should tell that when an important bill was being passed in favor of the Muslim community, why were they absent from Parliament? Chishti also raised the question as to why Priyanka Gandhi was not present in Parliament when the Congress party had time to support this bill?
“Muslim community is flourishing in BJP government”
Chishti appealed to the Muslim community that they should see who is working for them and who is not. Today the Muslim community is getting the benefit of central government schemes. I want to tell everyone to see who is doing better work for you and vote for you. The Muslim community should understand that the Congress only works for their votes, not for their real rights and welfare. He clarified that the Muslim community is getting real respect and development in the BJP government.
