New Delhi. After the terrorist attack in Pahalgam in Jammu and Kashmir, everyone’s eyes are on the action of the government. Meanwhile, former Punjab Chief Minister and Congress MP Charanjit Singh Channi on Friday sought evidence of the surgical strike in 2016 from the government.
Charanjit Singh Channi said during a discussion with the media persons after attending the meeting of the Congress Working Committee here, “It will not be known if any bomb falls in our country? It is said that we did a surgical strike in Pakistan, nothing happened. Nothing happened anywhere, surgical strikes, no one came to know.”
In response to a question, he said, “I have always asked for evidence of surgical strikes.”
Regarding the Pahalgam attack, Charanjit Singh Channi demanded that the government find out the attack and punish them. He said that today there is a need to apply ointment on the wounds of the people of the country.
He said that after the Pahalgam attack, the capacity of the government has started raising questions. The whole country is waiting when Pakistan will be responded to. Today has been 10 days, what is the government doing? He has demanded the central government to take action against terrorists.
It is noteworthy that even after the surgical strike in 2016, the leaders of the opposition had sought evidence from the government, after which the opposition came under target of the ruling party. Once again, a senior Congress leader has sought evidence, questioning the same surgical strike.
