Hubli: The political turmoil over the murder of a girl has intensified in Karnataka on Thursday. The girl’s father, Congress councilor Niranjan Hiremath, has criticized his own party leader and Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. Niranjan Hiremath accused CM Siddaramaiah of making such a statement due to which his family is facing defamation. Speaking to the media after a meeting with top police officials, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah had said that any murder takes place for personal reasons. He had said, ‘It is the duty of the government to maintain law and order. The government will perform its duty.
‘Gang of 4 other people also involved in the case’
Let us tell you that BJP is also attacking regarding Siddaramaiah’s statement. While talking to the media, Niranjan Hiremath said that along with the arrested accused Fayaz Kondinakoppa, a gang of 4 other people were also involved in this case, they should be arrested. He said, ‘We have given the names of these four people to the police and investigation is going on. Those four people are outsiders. This incident did not happen in just one day. This was being planned for a long time. They planned to either trap or kill him. They were threatening it. But his daughter did not pay any attention to him.
‘What do you mean, CM sir?’
Niranjan Hiremath questioned Siddaramaiah, ‘The entire state and country saw what happened to my daughter. If they say it’s personal, what’s personal about it? Are they my relatives? Have I done any transaction with them? Did my daughter have any relation with him? When you say it’s a personal matter, what do you mean? Was there any mutual understanding? If this was true then why was he killed? CM sir, someone is misleading you. I am a Congress councilor. You have to understand this. My family is going through a crisis. ‘Don’t defame my family by making such statements.’
‘People have voted you into power’
Niranjan said, ‘First you get complete information. If you all together say that this is personal, then who will take responsibility for my family’s reputation? I have great respect for you. People have voted you into power. Avoid making such statements. If you lie about a Congress councilor, will society agree? Will the Veerashaiva (Lingayat) community agree? Will they not condemn your statements? Do you want all the saints to come out on the streets? Honorable Chief Minister and Home Minister, you are requested to study the matter again and get it investigated.
‘Do not issue false statements’
Calling it a case of ‘Love Jihad’, the Congress leader targeted the CM and said, ‘Do not issue false statements. This is not correct. We are saddened after losing our daughter. Don’t try to increase our suffering. I am also in public life and request you not to issue such statements. Let us tell you that Neha Hiremath, who was studying MCA in BVB College, was stabbed to death by Faizal Kondikoppa, a BCA student in the same college, on Thursday. Faizal has been arrested and sent to judicial custody for 14 days.
BJP also called it a case of ‘love jihad’

BJP said, you should feel ashamed

The girl’s mother had said that her deceased daughter should not be insulted by claiming that she was in love with the accused. Ashok said that Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and Home Minister G. God should be ashamed for giving the matter a personal turn. He said that they should know that the person who is alleging love jihad is a Congress councilor.
