After the Leader of Opposition Tikaram Julie entered the temple, the District Congress Committee protested against former BJP MLA Gyan Dev Ahuja under the leadership of Executive President Abdul Ghaffar to wash the temple with Ganga water.
Congress officials shouted slogans at the District Congress Committee office and burnt the effigy of Gyan Dev Ahuja. MLA Arjun Singh Bamania said that after the Congress’s Dalit officials and backward people entered the temple, former BJP MLA Ahuja did a derogatory job of washing the temple with Ganga water. Chief Minister Bhajan Lal has kept silence on the antics of the former MLA and has not commented.
Which the District Congress Committee condemns. Executive Chairman Abdul Ghaffar said that this act shows the BJP’s petty mentality. The Bharatiya Janata Party and its leaders have introduced the perverted mentality. Everyone has the right to equality and the BJP should stop this discrimination and high and low politics.
Against society and constitution
Ghatol MLA Nanalal Ninama said that Gyan Dev Ahuja’s statement is not only against Dalits, but against the whole society and constitution. BJP leaders have provoked them, they want to spread hatred between Dalits and upper castes in the society. Leader of Opposition Tikaram Julie Julie raises the questions and voices of every section of the society including Dalits, backward, underprivileged, exploited, youth, farmers, which this careless government has no answer. That is why BJP leaders are making such rhetoric against him, but the Chief Minister should clarify whether he agrees with the former MLA’s statement or disagree.
