A shocking incident from Palghar, Maharashtra has come to light, in which some villagers accidentally shot one of their own companions as a wild boar during the hunting. The incident occurred on the night of 28 January in the Borsheti forest of Palghar’s manor. Police said on Wednesday that one person died on the spot due to the bullet, while another person was injured, who later succumbed during treatment. Police have detained 6 people in this case and started investigating the incident.
Nervous villagers hidden the dead body
According to SDPO Abhijeet Dhashivkar of Palghar, some villagers stepped into the forest to hunt wild pigs. While hunting, some villagers separated from their partner. A villager accidentally fired his own partner as a wild boar, resulting in two villagers injured. One died immediately, while the other was seriously injured and he also died during treatment.
After the incident, the villagers, who were nervous of the incident, hid the dead body in the bushes instead of informing the police.
Police conducted extensive search operation
After receiving the information from the police, the authorities reached the spot and started a widespread search. He recovered the hidden body in the bushes, which was sent for postmortem. The police officer said that after the death of the injured person, his funeral was also done without informing the police.
After this incident, the police have detained 6 villagers and an FIR is being registered against the accused. The police is investigating the case deeply and is trying to clarify what more negligence was done in the incident.
