Chandigarh. The construction work of the country’s first Shri Krishna Ayush University in Kurukshetra, Haryana will start soon. Officials gave this information on Saturday. In a meeting chaired by Chief Secretary Sanjeev Kaushal, it has been decided to appoint an executive agency for the construction of the University with an outlay of Rs 500 crore.
An official statement said the agency would plan, design, construct, arrange and maintain the furniture, equipment, information technology of the university.
Director General Ayush Saket Kumar apprised about the action plan of the university in the meeting of the high level committee constituted by the state government.
The university will be built on 102 acres, in which post-graduation in all medical systems i.e. Ayurveda, Yoga, Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha and Homeopathy will be provided under AYUSH.
Hospitals will also be built for all these medical systems. 300 beds will be constructed for Ayurveda, 175 for Unani, 175 for Siddha, 75 for Homeopathy, 30 for Yoga and Naturopathy.
