Jaipur. The Department of Information Technology and Communications is going to bring Rajasthan Artificial Intelligence Policy-2025, which aims to make the state responsible, inclusive and innovative-intelligence (AI) emerging center of development. Department Secretary of the department Archana Singh said that this policy will promote the use of AI in areas like health, agriculture, education and urban administration, so that public-focused services will improve and economic development will be accelerated.
Government Secretary Archana Singh was addressing a one -day AI Policy Stakeholder Consultation Workshop organized by the Department of Information Technology and Communications at Rajasthan International Center on Friday. The draft of Rajasthan AI Policy-2025 was discussed in the workshop, which has been made public on the department’s website. Mrs. Archana Singh said that any person can share his opinion and suggestions on this draft.
Representatives of eminent institutions of India and abroad put their views
The first session of this workshop held in two sessions was attended by professionals associated with iconic companies in the country and abroad like Oracle, IBM, Orbit, Ernest and Young, NEC, while in the second session, students of reputed institutions like IIM Udaipur, IIT Kanpur, IIT Jodhpur and MNIT Jaipur were attended. Deepak Pathania, representative of NEC company, appreciated the efforts of the state government to bring this policy and said that this policy will definitely prove to be very effective for the state. He said that the state government should use practical approach while implementing the policy, so that the use of AI at every level can be made successful and the remaining possibilities from being included in the policy format can also be included in the policy.
Vibha, representative of Ernest & Young, said that the Draft AI policy by the state government has included important components. He suggested a playbook to make the policy more useful, so that the moral rules of AI use could be understood experimentally.
Saurabh Srivastava, a representative of the Digital Empowerment Foundation, Voluntary organization, spoke in relation to the positive effects on the women, special qualified people and old people of the state. He suggested the Green Data Center arguing for environmental protection and suggested to include measures to deal with challenges such as various financial frauds and deepfec using AI in the policy.
Himanshu Daga, the founder of Dash AI Glasses Startup, expressed views regarding AI’s credibility and accountability to society. Gurpreet Kaur, Vice Chancellor of National Law University, Jodhpur, shared the use in the legal perspective of AI and stressed on training teachers with AI tools to make education more effective.
Rajasthan AI Policy-2025
The major objectives of the policy include improving public service distribution, ethical and responsible AI development, establishment of strong legal framework, preparing efficient workforce, promoting innovation and ensuring inclusive access. Three major factors have been determined for this: adopting moral AI at the government level, encouraging skill development and research, and the construction of strong digital infrastructure.
Center of Excellence will be built
The Center of Excellence for AI (COE-AI) will play an important role in the effective implementation of this policy. The center will support research, innovation and startups, as well as promotes cooperation in government, educational and private sectors. Niti is aligning with National India AI Mission and adopts global best practices. The draft of the policy proposes the establishment of a multi-level-level structure, which includes AI Apex Committee, Steering Committee, AI Task Force and Departmental AI Nodal Officer. This policy is an important step towards making Rajasthan responsible and leading an inclusive AI.
