Now a new twist has come to the fore in the Wriddhiman Saha and journalist controversy. Saha had not named any journalist till now, but there were speculations on social media that the name of that journalist was Boria Majumdar. Now Boria himself has come forward and put forth his point. He has said that he will serve a legal notice for defamation to Wriddhiman Saha in relation to the recent allegations made by the India wicketkeeper.
In a video posted on social media, Majumdar said that the WhatsApp chat that Saha had put up was only a small part of the conversation between the two. It is presented incorrectly. Saha did not name any journalist then, but said on Saturday (March 5) that he had told everything about the incident to a committee set up by the BCCI.
Saha said, “I have told the committee everything that I know. I have given them all the information. I can’t tell you much right now. BCCI has asked me not to talk about the meeting outside.” , because they will answer all your questions.” Saha appeared before board’s vice-chairman Rajeev Shukla, treasurer Arun Dhumal and IPL governing council member Prabhatej Bhatia.
What’s the matter?
The Indian team for the T20 and Test series against Sri Lanka was announced by the BCCI on 19 February. But experienced wicketkeeper Wriddhiman Saha did not find a place in it. After this, a journalist sent a WhatsApp message to Saha and demanded an interview, to which Saha did not respond and then he was threatened with dire consequences from the journalist. Saha expressed his displeasure by sharing the screenshot of the whole thing on his Twitter handle.
What did the journalist say?
The journalist wrote to Saha, “Have an interview with me, it will be great. If you want to be democratic, I will not pressurize you. He picks one wicketkeeper, which is the best. You try to choose 11 journalists.” Do what I think is not right. Choose the one who can help you the most.” The journalist later wrote, “You didn’t call. I’ll never interview you again. I don’t tolerate insults and I’ll remember it. You shouldn’t have done that.”
