Mumbai After the terrible waves of Kovid-19, when India breathed a sigh of relief, now there are reports of new cases of corona infection from many parts of the country. The latest incident is from Thane city of Maharashtra, where a 21 -year -old youth has died of a corona infection. This news has again raised questions – is Corona returning once again? Should we be alert? According to media reports, the deceased youth had serious diabetes and was admitted to the hospital on 22 May. The next day, on 23 May, he came to Kovid Test positive and died in a short time. This death may seem to be an alone incident, but it is an indication that Kovid has not yet gone completely, and for some people it can still prove fatal-especially for patients with comorbidity (pre-eminent diseases).
How many cases currently in Maharashtra?
According to the website of the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Kovid has 56 active cases in Maharashtra. This number may appear to be less, but experts believe that the actual number may be more due to low testing and mild symptoms.
Case also in Noida, administration alert
The covid report of a 55 -year -old woman has also been found positive in Gautam Buddha Nagar (Noida). CMO Dr. Narendra Kumar informed that this confirmation was done through RTPCR Test.
He assured that: “There is no need to panic, we are fully prepared and all logistic resources have been deployed.”
Has JN.1 Varient returned to Kovid?
Most of the JN.1 variants in recent cases in India have been found. It is a new form of the Omikron family, which: spreads rapidly, but in most cases it produces mild symptoms. But, this variant can prove to be serious for those who: are elderly, who have diseases like diabetes, asthma, cancer or heart disease. Whose immune system is weak.
