Prajwal Revanna’s custody has been extended. The court has ordered to keep the suspended JD(S) leader in police custody till June 10. Earlier on May 31, the court had handed over Revanna’s custody to the police till June 6. Today, due to the end of custody, Prajwal Revanna was produced in the court, on hearing which the court has extended Prajwal Revanna’s custody till June 10. The Jan Pratinidhi Court has sent Prajwal Revanna to the custody of SIT till June 10.
Porn videos went viral
Before the Lok Sabha elections on April 26, a large number of obscene videos of Prajwal Revanna went viral, in which women were allegedly being sexually harassed by Prajwal Revanna. Seeing the matter getting serious, Prajwal Revanna fled the country as soon as the voting was over and hid in Germany for more than a month. Revanna returned from Germany after 35 days on May 31 and was arrested by the SIT as soon as he returned.
Father also accused
Seeing the case gaining momentum, the Karnataka government formed a Special Investigation Team (SIT) which arrested him as soon as he landed at Kempegowda International Airport on May 31. The police also arrested his father and Holenarasipura MLA HD Revanna for kidnapping a woman who was seen in an explicit video allegedly being sexually assaulted by Prajwal. However, HD Revanna was later released after a court granted him bail. The SIT investigation then led to his wife and Prajwal’s mother Bhavani Revanna, both of whom are absconding in the same kidnapping case.
Let us inform you that in the Lok Sabha election results that were declared on Tuesday, Prajwal Revanna, who was facing allegations of sexual exploitation of several women, lost to Shreyas M Patel of the Congress by 42,549 votes.
