New Delhi. Troubles of Atishi, a minister in the Aam Aadmi Party government of Delhi, may increase now. Rouse Avenue Court has summoned Delhi minister Atishi on June 29 in a defamation case filed by BJP leader Praveen Shankar Kapoor. Let us tell you that Atishi had alleged that BJP had offered a huge amount of money to Aam Aadmi Party MLAs to switch sides. After this, BJP had filed a defamation case against Atishi, calling these allegations baseless.
Now, after Atishi was summoned by the court, BJP leader and BJP’s Lok Sabha candidate from Delhi, Bansuri Swaraj has targeted Atishi and Aam Aadmi Party. Bansuri Swaraj, citing the court’s order in a press conference, said that Aam Aadmi Party believes that they will fabricate anything and get away with it. Bansuri said that this is not the first time that Aam Aadmi Party has lied. The court has accepted that the tweet made by Arvind Kejriwal on 27 January 2024 is defamatory. Atishi retweeted this tweet, after which Delhi BJP filed a case on 30 January. When the police went to the house of Arvind Kejriwal and Atishi, both of them did not cooperate in the police investigation. Many times they made allegations against BJP but did not reveal the name of the person who offered the bribe. Then on 2 April 2024, Atishi held a press conference and again made defamatory allegations of Operation Lotus against BJP and this statement was published in the media.
