The court has reserved its verdict in the case of a live bomb after a serial blasts in Rajasthan’s capital Jaipur about 17 years ago. Now the court has sentenced in this case. The court sentenced the four terrorists to life imprisonment in the old live bomb case of Jaipur bomb blast. The court gave a detailed verdict of 600 pages. Earlier, the special court convicted Saifur Rahman, Mohammad Saif, Mohammad Sarwar Azmi and Shahbaz Ahmed. Now all four have been sentenced to life imprisonment.
Let us tell you that after the 8 serial bomb blasts in Jaipur on 13 May 2008, the ninth bomb was found in Chandpol Bazaar, which was live. The bomb was deactivated 15 minutes before the explosion, saving hundreds of people. All four convicts were convicted under 4 sections of IPC, 2 sections of UAPA and 3 sections of the Explosives Act.
The court considered it a serious offense.
While delivering the verdict, court judge Ramesh Kumar Joshi said that the biggest court is our mind and punishment has been given, which means that the crime has also happened. Government lawyer Sagar Tiwari demanded life imprisonment. He said that this is a very serious crime and there should be no relaxation. The defense counsel said that the accused has been in jail for 15 years and has been acquitted in 8 cases. The court rejected these arguments and sentenced the maximum sentence.
Apart from Shahbaz, the remaining three were hanged in the previous serial blast case. Although the High Court acquitted all three, the matter is now pending in the Supreme Court.
