The Pakistan cricket team suffered a major setback on Tuesday (February 1). Team’s main fast bowler Haris Rauf has been found corona infected just before the Test series against Australia. Now his playing in the first Test match to be held in Rawalpindi has become doubtful. Australia’s team has gone on a tour of Pakistan after 24 years. There he has to play three ODIs and one T20 match in addition to the three-Test series.
The Test series will start on March 4. This match, which will run till March 8, will be played in Rawalpindi. After this, from March 12 to 16, the second match will be played in Karachi and from March 21 to 25, the third and last Test will be played in Lahore. The ODI series will start on March 29. After this, two more matches will be played on March 31 and April 2. The only T20 match will take place on April 5. The ODI and T20 series will be held in Rawalpindi.

A Pakistani team official said, “Haris has been found to be COVID-19 positive. They are isolated now. The Test match is to start in three days, so there is every possibility that he will not be available for the first Test starting from March 4.
Haris has played eight ODIs as well as 34 T20Is for Pakistan. Haris has taken 14 wickets in ODIs and 41 wickets in T20Is. Haris Rauf played for Lahore Qalandars in the Pakistan Super League. He took 16 wickets in 13 matches this season.
