Saran. Big news is coming from Chhapra district of Bihar, where fearless criminals looted Rs 10 lakh cash from the branch of Central Bank in Aphar village of Amanour police station area. This incident, which happened before the counting of votes of Lok Sabha elections, has created a sensation in the area. Saran SP Kumar Ashish has confirmed the incident.
It is being told that the criminals were five in number and were armed. As soon as they entered the bank, the criminals took the bank employees under their control and managed to escape with the cash. On protest, the criminals threatened to shoot, due to which the bank employees gave the cash to the criminals. The DSP who reached the spot after the incident has started investigating the case.
SP Kumar Ashish has said that Rs 10 lakh was looted in this incident. However, he said that no FIR has been registered yet. The SP has said that after the incident, efforts are being made to identify the criminal on the basis of CCTV footage. The SP said that a special police team has been deployed to investigate the incident.
It is worth noting that the security personnel are constantly harassing the Kurmi Chowk intersections in the area during the Lok Sabha elections but even in such a situation the criminals seem to be fearless. Last Saturday, criminals looted Rs 45000 at gunpoint from Majhi’s petrol pump and now the criminals have committed this big incident in Amanour, after which questions are being raised on the police system.
