Crocodile in Shivpuri: Abhishek Sharma, Shivpuri New Duniya. Shivpuri It is common to see crocodiles from Bhujaria Tal and Jadhav Sagar in urban areas, but now in rural areas also crocodile population has started entering the area. On Thursday night, a crocodile entered Sankeshwar village under Kolaras. At night, the eyes of some youth roaming in the village fell on him. After seeing this, the news spread in the whole village and crowds of people gathered. Along with this, the information was also given to the Forest Department in the night itself, but no one came from there. After this the youth themselves caught that crocodile. The youth held the crocodile for a long time and roamed the village and played with it. After this, when the elders interrupted, he was thrown into the water cistern.
Overnight guarded: After putting the crocodile in the cistern, the people of the village also guarded it overnight. The villagers feared that if the crocodile came out of the cistern at night, it might harm anyone. There is no such big pond near Kolaras, from where there is a possibility of crocodile coming. The Sindh river flows from here, so it is being speculated that the crocodile must have come out of the Sindh river and came to the village.
Such incidents have happened before: It is very common to find crocodiles in the urban area of Shivpuri. There are two ponds here, with hundreds of crocodiles, which often reach the populated area. When there was a flood last year, a video of youths carrying a crocodile tied and carrying them on their shoulders in the meat market also went viral. Even after this, crocodiles have come out in the populated area three or four times, which was caught by the common man and thrown into the water.
