Jaipur. On the third day of Rajivika Saras National Craft Fair 2022, being run by Rajasthan Rural Livelihood Development Council at Jawahar Kala Kendra in the capital Jaipur, huge crowd of customers was seen. Entry to the fair, which runs from 10 am to 9 pm, is free. Art and craft loving customers are liking the handmade products brought for exhibition and sale in this fair.
The main objective of the project to be operated under the rural development part is to create employment opportunities in rural areas through self-help groups. More than 300 artisans from other states of the country including Rajasthan are participating this year in the fair, being organized with the aim of giving national identity to the handicraft artifacts made by their skills by women belonging to self-help groups of rural areas.

The main attraction of the fair this time is Meenakari of Rajsamand district, products made from Chaitri rose, embroidery of Barmer, applique work, leather products from Dausa, various types of pickles, papad, Mangodi salty soap etc. including Kota Doria and Suits.

Shehnaz of Jai Bhim Group from Bulandshahr district of Uttar Pradesh has come up with her ceramic products for the first time. Shahnaz tells that from the time of bringing the raw material to the preparation of the final product, all the work is done collectively. It is a privilege for them to participate in Jaipur Saras. The visitors coming to the fair like ceramic products especially coffee mugs, tea cups, soup bowls, platters, pots etc.

Deu Devi of Ishwar group, who participates in the fair from Barmer district, does the work of Kashida work. They also got a chance to participate in the Saras fair for the first time. Various handmade embroidered products for home decoration are the beauty of the Saras Fair. After joining Rajeevika in the year 2018, Deu Devi started the work of embroidery along with other women.
